Association of the Blind in Romania(ANR)
The Association of the Blind in Romania is the national organisation representing the rights and interests of visually impaired people in Romania, recognised by public authorities and by the European Union of the Blind and the World Union of the Blind. ANR advocates for equal access and full participation across Romanian society.

The Association of the Blind in Romania (Asociația Nevăzătorilor din România) is a non-governmental, apolitical organisation with social and humanitarian character, representing visually impaired people across Romania through a network of regional branches. It is a member of the National Council of Disability, the European Forum on Disability, and the World Union of the Blind.
What They Do
ANR provides direct services to visually impaired members including orientation and mobility training, Braille literacy support, employment assistance, legal rights guidance, and social welfare advocacy. Regional branches deliver localised support and services across Romania.
Who They Serve
ANR serves Romanians who are blind or have significant visual impairments — from children to older adults — as well as their families and carers, with services delivered through regional branches nationwide.
