About
The Arc of Illinois was founded by parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and has operated for over seven decades as the state's leading cross-disability family advocacy organisation. It is a state chapter of The Arc, a national network with more than 700 chapters.
What They Do
The Arc of Illinois advocates at the state legislature for policies that expand community inclusion, provides training and technical assistance to families navigating education, healthcare, and housing systems, and operates the Arc Advocacy Network connecting families to local resources and rights information.
Who They Serve
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all ages, their families, caregivers, and the professionals who support them throughout Illinois.
