About
The Arc of Indiana was established in 1956 when parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) joined together to build a more accepting world for their children. Now Indiana's premier IDD advocacy organisation and affiliated with The Arc of the United States, it is headquartered in Indianapolis and serves the entire state.
What They Do
The Arc of Indiana provides legislative and policy advocacy, operates the Erskine Green Training Institute — which offers vocational training to people of all disabilities for careers in hotel service, food service, healthcare support, and inventory distribution — and administers the Arc Master Trust, the nation's leading Special Needs Trust. It also connects families to information, resources, and peer support across Indiana.
Who They Serve
Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all ages in Indiana, as well as their families, caregivers, and service providers seeking advocacy, vocational training, and long-term financial planning tools.
