AsIAm
AsIAm is Ireland's national autism charity, founded in 2014 by autistic CEO Adam Harris, working to create a fully inclusive Ireland where every autistic person is valued, understood, and supported. It provides a free legal clinic, a national autism resource map, autism-friendly accreditation for employers and schools, and training for public and private organisations.
About
AsIAm was established in 2014 by Adam Harris, who drew on his own experiences as an autistic person growing up in Ireland. What began as an online information platform has grown into Ireland's primary autism advocacy and support organisation, influencing national policy, building Ireland's autism-friendly accreditation infrastructure, and delivering direct community services across the country — all led by an autistic CEO and senior team.
What They Do
AsIAm offers a free legal clinic for autistic people navigating education and employment rights, curates a national online map of autism supports and services, and runs autism-friendly accreditation programmes for schools, higher education institutions, employers, and community organisations. Their training team builds autism inclusion capacity across public and private sectors. Their policy team engages government on education reform, UNCRPD compliance, and improving access to diagnosis and post-diagnostic support across Ireland.
Who They Serve
Autistic people of all ages across Ireland, their families and carers, and the employers, schools, and public bodies seeking to become meaningfully autism-inclusive.
