About

Founded in 1990, the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC) is a consumer-controlled advocacy organisation in Denver dedicated to eradicating discrimination, abuse, and neglect of people with disabilities in Colorado. Uniquely, CCDC is governed and staffed by people with disabilities — a principle that shapes every programme and policy position.

What They Do

CCDC provides self-advocacy training, legal assistance, policy advocacy at the state legislature, and community outreach. Members participate directly in legislative campaigns, public-comment processes, and coalition-building across all disability communities in Colorado.

Who They Serve

Coloradans with any disability type — physical, psychiatric, intellectual, developmental, learning, or sensory — with a particular focus on cross-disability solidarity and systemic change.
