Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta(CPAA)
An Alberta disability organization founded in 1976 that serves over 4,300 people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities through therapy, assistive technology, employment assistance, advocacy, and recreation programmes. CPAA became Canada's first affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) in 2006 and operates across Edmonton and province-wide.

Founded in 1976 by parents of children with cerebral palsy, the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (CPAA) is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2006, CPAA became the first Canadian affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), connecting the organization to one of the world's largest disability networks with affiliates across North America and beyond.
What They Do
CPAA provides individual and family support, social and recreation programmes, therapy, assistive technology assessment and training, employment assistance, and referrals. The organization advocates for clients navigating provincial funding programmes including Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Alberta Aids for Daily Living (AADL), Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), and school accommodation.

CPAA serves children, youth, and adults with cerebral palsy and related physical and developmental disabilities in Alberta, as well as their families and caregivers, throughout the province.
