Founded in 1980 and headquartered at Calle Luis Cabrera 63, 28002 Madrid, COCEMFE (Confederación Española de Personas con Discapacidad Física y Orgánica) is a non-profit confederation of 91 member organisations grouping over 1,600 local and regional associations. It is governed by and for people with physical and organic (systemic/chronic) disabilities, with regional and provincial confederations operating across Spain.
What They Do
COCEMFE advocates before the Spanish government and Parliament on accessibility, inclusive education, labour market participation, independent living, and social protection. It also delivers or coordinates programmes in employment inclusion, gender and disability, tourism accessibility, and citizen participation, and participates in European disability policy through EDF membership.

COCEMFE primarily serves people with physical disabilities and those with organic or systemic chronic conditions. Its network of over 1,600 associations provides information, counselling, rehabilitation, and employment support to approximately 2.5 million people across all of Spain's regions.
