Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation(FDPF)

Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation (FDPF) is a national cross-disability Disabled People's Organisation, founded in 1984 and led and managed by persons with disabilities, with four affiliated organisations and 16 branches across Fiji. FDPF advances disability rights through advocacy, business empowerment, and employment creation for Fijians with disabilities.

Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation (FDPF) is a national cross-disability Disabled People's Organisation founded in 1984 (originally as the Fiji Disabled Peoples Association) and renamed in 2012. Headquartered in Suva and led and managed entirely by persons with disabilities, FDPF is supported by four affiliated organisations and 16 provincial branches across Fiji.

What They Do

FDPF promotes equal rights for persons with disabilities in Fiji through advocacy and public awareness campaigns, business empowerment programmes, and creation of employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The organisation also engages in disaster risk reduction, regional Pacific disability networks, and representation at national and international policy forums.

Who They Serve

Persons with physical, sensory, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities throughout Fiji, from urban centres to rural island communities, through its national branch network and affiliated disability organisations.
