Ieder(in)
Ieder(in) is the Dutch national umbrella organisation for people with a physical or intellectual disability or chronic illness, uniting more than 200 member associations to represent over two million people. Based in Utrecht, it advocates for full social participation — covering care, housing, transport, employment, and education.
About
Ieder(in) was formed in 2014 through the merger of two major Dutch disability federations and is now the largest disability umbrella organisation in the Netherlands. Based in Utrecht, its more than 200 member organisations represent the full spectrum of physical, intellectual, and chronic conditions.
What They Do
Ieder(in) lobbies the Dutch government and parliament for legislation enabling full social participation. Priority areas include accessible healthcare and personal assistance, barrier-free housing and transport, inclusive education, and open employment. The organisation also runs public information campaigns and supports member associations in municipal-level advocacy.
Who They Serve
The federation represents more than two million people with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or chronic illnesses in the Netherlands, advocating for individuals of all ages to live independently and participate fully in society.
