Inclusion Europe
Inclusion Europe is a European umbrella organisation representing people with intellectual disabilities and their families across more than 40 countries, headquartered in Brussels since 1988. It advocates at the European level for rights, equal opportunities, and the end of institutionalisation for people with intellectual disabilities.
About
Inclusion Europe was founded in 1988 and is registered as a non-profit under Belgian law. Its membership spans over 40 national member organisations across Europe and beyond, collectively representing more than seven million people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Offices are located at Avenue des Arts in Brussels.
What They Do
Inclusion Europe advocates before EU institutions for disability-inclusive policies and monitors CRPD compliance across member states. It produces Easy-to-Read resources, supports self-advocacy, and coordinates pan-European campaigns on inclusive education, community living, independent living, and employment.
Who They Serve
Inclusion Europe serves people with intellectual disabilities across Europe and their families, with particular focus on those at risk of institutionalisation or exclusion from mainstream education, employment, and civic participation.
