National Disability Forum Solomon Islands(NDFSI)
The National Disability Forum of Solomon Islands is the peak umbrella body coordinating all disability organisations in Solomon Islands, amplifying the voices of people with disabilities in national and regional policy. It brings together the Blind and Visual Impairment Solomon Islands, Solomon Islands Deaf Association, and the Disability Women Empowerment Association, among others.
About
The National Disability Forum of Solomon Islands (NDFSI) serves as the central non-governmental umbrella organisation for all disability organisations in the Solomon Islands. It is led by CEO Casper Fa'asala and launched a new website in May 2025 to expand its public presence and outreach.
What They Do
NDFSI provides training workshops for people with and without disabilities, conducts policy analysis, advocates for CRPD implementation, and coordinates disability-inclusive development projects including work in conservation. The forum supports national member organisations and represents Solomon Islands in Pacific regional disability networks.
