The Neil Squire Society is Canada's leading assistive technology non-profit, empowering Canadians with physical disabilities through employment programmes, AT assessments, digital literacy training, and open-source assistive device innovation from its Burnaby headquarters and offices across the country. Founded in 1984, the Society serves more than 4,000 people per year.

Founded in 1984 in Burnaby, British Columbia, the Neil Squire Society honours its namesake Neil Squire, who was paralysed in a car accident and whose story inspired a movement to use technology to restore independence. Headquartered at 3999 Henning Drive in Burnaby, the Society operates additional offices in Alberta and Ontario.
What They Do
Neil Squire provides computer-based assistive technology assessments and funding navigation, employment preparation and job coaching, digital literacy training, and develops open-source AT hardware through its Makers Making Change programme. The Society also partners with industry to advance accessible technology innovation and conducts applied research to address unmet AT needs in the disability community.
