Organization
Score Foundation
A New Delhi-based organisation challenging perceptions around blindness through Project Eyeway — a national network and helpline connecting visually impaired people across India to information, services, and peer support.
About Score Foundation
Score Foundation was established in New Delhi with the mission to challenge stereotypes and redefine perceptions of blindness — moving from a charity model to one of rights, capability, and peer empowerment. It is perhaps best known for Project Eyeway, India's most comprehensive information network for people with visual impairment.
What They Do
- Project Eyeway — a free national helpline (1800-572-9999) and web portal providing information on education, employment, schemes, and assistive technology for blind and low-vision people
- Peer support — connecting visually impaired people across India through the Eyeway network
- Media and storytelling — challenging negative stereotypes through disability-positive media campaigns
- Advocacy — lobbying for accessible infrastructure, digital inclusion, and employment rights
- Capacity building — training blind people to become advocates for their own communities
Who They Serve
Score Foundation primarily serves adults with visual impairment across all Indian states through the Eyeway helpline and network.
Community Note
Score Foundation is led by a team that includes people with visual impairment in key leadership positions, making it a genuinely disabled-led organisation in the Indian context.
