About

Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs is the first residential care facility for persons with disabilities in the Middle East. Located in the Umm Suqeim neighborhood of Dubai, Senses is a non-profit organization that operates under the patronage of the Dubai Department of Education and Knowledge. It has served children and young people with disabilities for decades and remains unique in the region for its residential model.

What They Do

Senses offers integrated day and residential programs that combine speech therapy, music therapy, art therapy, physiotherapy, life-skills training, and sports. The residential component allows children who need round-the-clock support to live in a safe, structured, therapeutic environment. Specialist staff develop individualized care plans responsive to each participant's specific needs and developmental goals.

Who They Serve

Senses primarily serves children from age two through young adults up to nineteen with physical disabilities, Down syndrome, and related intellectual disabilities. The organization also supports families through guidance and training, helping parents and caregivers maintain consistent therapeutic approaches at home and in the community.
