Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI Alberta) is the provincial member organization of Spinal Cord Injury Canada, serving Albertans with spinal cord injuries and other mobility impairments from offices in Edmonton and Calgary. The organization has roots in the post-WWII rehabilitation movement and continues to evolve its services around peer support and community integration.
What They Do
SCI Alberta delivers peer support connecting survivors newly living with SCI to people with lived experience, client and service coordination to help individuals access benefits and community resources, active-living and recreation programmes, information and referral services, and provincial advocacy on accessibility and income policy. All services are provided free of charge.

SCI Alberta serves adults in Alberta living with a spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, or other mobility impairment, as well as their families and caregivers, throughout the province.
