Vietnam Blind Association(VBA)
Vietnam's national federation for blind and visually impaired people, with organisational roots going back to 1955, coordinating provincial blind associations across all 57 provinces and cities. VBA is a member of the World Blind Union and works to advance employment, Braille literacy, and social inclusion for Vietnam's approximately one million visually impaired people.

Vietnam Blind Association (VBA), known in Vietnamese as Hội Người Mù Việt Nam, is the national federation representing blind and visually impaired people across Vietnam. Headquartered at 139 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Hanoi's Ba Dinh District, VBA has organisational roots going back to 1955 and is formally recognised by the Vietnamese government as a national social organisation. VBA is a member of the World Blind Union (WBU).
What They Do
VBA coordinates provincial and city-level blind associations across all 57 of Vietnam's provinces and cities, advocates for disability rights and legislative reform, supports vocational training and employment for blind members, and promotes Braille literacy and accessible technology. The association has supported over 1,400 production and business projects and helped create employment for nearly 2,000 blind and disabled workers nationwide.
Who They Serve
VBA serves blind and visually impaired Vietnamese of all ages, primarily through its provincial associations. Members access vocational training, peer support, Braille education, assistive-technology guidance, and rights advocacy. The organisation represents the interests of Vietnam's approximately one million visually impaired people in government and policy forums.
