Whizz-Kidz
Whizz-Kidz is the UK's leading charity for young wheelchair users up to age 25, providing life-changing wheelchairs and adaptive equipment that the NHS cannot supply in time. Beyond equipment, Whizz-Kidz runs skills and confidence programmes, youth clubs, and an All-Party Parliamentary Group for Wheelchair Users to drive policy change.
About
Founded in 1990, Whizz-Kidz has provided life-changing wheelchairs to over 10,000 young people and engaged more than 20,000 at events across the UK. Headquartered in London, the charity campaigns nationally to ensure every young wheelchair user gets the right equipment at the right time.
What They Do
Whizz-Kidz assesses young people for specialist wheelchairs and adaptive equipment, delivers skills training through Kidz Clubs and residential camps, and advocates in Parliament through a dedicated APPG for Wheelchair Users launched in May 2025. Their "Childhood Can't Wait" campaign aims to ensure no child is left waiting for vital mobility equipment.
Who They Serve
Children and young people up to age 25 who use wheelchairs across the UK, and their families and carers who need support navigating equipment pathways.
