AccessComputing is funded by the National Science Foundation and led by the University of Washington's DO-IT Center. It addresses the persistent underrepresentation of people with disabilities in computing fields by supporting students at critical junctures — from undergraduate study through to employment — and by increasing the disability-inclusive capacity of the computing education community.
College and graduate students with disabilities nationwide can join the AccessComputing community to connect with peers and mentors in computing fields, access guidance on internship and job recruitment, and participate in computing- and accessibility-related events. AccessComputing also publishes research-based resources for computing faculty, academic departments, and employers to build more inclusive practices.
College and graduate students with any disability pursuing computer science, information technology, or related computing fields, as well as computing educators and employers seeking evidence-based strategies for including and retaining talent with disabilities.
