About this resource

About

AskEARN (Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion) is funded by the US Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) under a cooperative agreement with Cornell University's Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability. It functions as the employer-facing counterpart to the Job Accommodation Network.

What It Does

The website provides employer-focused resources on recruiting, onboarding, retention, reasonable accommodations, federal contractor obligations (Section 503), and building an accessible workplace culture. A free suite of self-paced online trainings uses the Disability@Work framework. Policy briefs, webinars, and case studies are regularly added. A curated job-seeker resources page also directs individuals with disabilities to relevant employment tools.

Who It Helps

HR professionals, hiring managers, small business owners, federal contractors, and vocational rehabilitation providers seeking to build inclusive workplaces — ultimately expanding employment opportunity for job seekers with any type of disability.
