Developed by the Florida State University Autism Institute and grounded in decades of federally funded longitudinal research, Autism Navigator integrates the most current science on early autism detection with a highly interactive online learning platform. Courses include hundreds of video clips drawn from a unique archive of toddlers aged 12–24 months.
The free public course "How to Recognize the Early Signs of Autism" uses video footage of real toddlers to show the subtle early signs of autism spectrum disorder at 18–24 months. A separate free family-focused course provides hundreds of video demonstrations of evidence-based intervention techniques that parents can incorporate into everyday routines — feeding, bath time, play — to support their child's communication and social development while awaiting or during early intervention services. Professional-level courses on early intervention provider skills are available at low cost.
Families who suspect their toddler has autism or a social communication delay, early intervention service coordinators and therapists seeking video-based training, and paediatric primary care providers looking for structured education on early autism detection.
