About this resource

About

ModMath was designed by a parent of a child with dysgraphia who struggled to organise math problems on paper. The app provides a clean, structured digital workspace that mimics graph paper — students type numbers into the grid using a large on-screen number pad, keeping columns aligned automatically.

What It Does

Students work through multi-step arithmetic, algebra, and other math problems directly on their iPad. The grid keeps numbers in correct columns without the need for handwriting, reducing cognitive load for students who struggle with pencil-and-paper organisation. Completed work can be saved or emailed to a teacher. The app is completely free.

Who It Helps

Students in elementary through high school with dysgraphia, fine motor difficulties, dyscalculia-related organisation challenges, or any condition that makes lining up numbers on paper difficult. Widely used as a no-cost alternative or complement to more expensive AT solutions.
