by U.S. Department of Education / NTACT:C Consortium
NTACT:C — the National Technical Assistance Center on Transition: The Collaborative — is a multi-university consortium funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs and the Rehabilitation Services Administration. It builds the capacity of state agencies, school districts, and vocational rehabilitation programmes to deliver effective transition services to students with disabilities preparing to leave secondary school.
NTACT:C maintains a free, searchable content library of evidence-based transition practices spanning employment, postsecondary education, and community engagement. The Transition Gradebook tool helps states and districts track student transition outcomes over time. Free account registration unlocks customisable professional development resources, state data profiles, and practitioner toolkits built from peer-reviewed research.
NTACT:C primarily supports state transition coordinators, special educators, and vocational rehabilitation counsellors — but its resources directly benefit secondary students with disabilities, including those with significant cognitive, physical, and sensory disabilities, by improving the quality and consistency of the transition planning and employment preparation they receive.
