by The OT Toolbox
Founded in 2011 by Colleen Beck, OTR/L — a licensed occupational therapist with over 20 years of paediatric clinical experience spanning early intervention, school-based practice, and outpatient OT — The OT Toolbox has grown into one of the most widely used free paediatric OT resource sites on the web.
The site provides hundreds of free activity guides, sensory play ideas, printable worksheets, and developmental milestone checklists grounded in occupational therapy principles. Resources cover sensory processing and sensory diet construction, fine and gross motor skill development, visual-motor integration, feeding challenges, self-care skills, and handwriting readiness — all framed for use by parents at home between therapy sessions. The OT Toolbox also offers preschool OT assessments overview, early intervention activity guides, and "red flag" developmental checklists that families can bring to appointments.
Parents and caregivers of children from birth through school age with sensory processing differences, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, or physical disabilities, as well as occupational therapists, early childhood educators, and school staff looking for practical home-programme materials.
