Action to the Community Development Institute(ACDC)

A disability-led Vietnamese NGO founded in Hanoi in 2011 that empowers people with disabilities through advocacy, capacity building, and inclusive development across Vietnam. ACDC trains disabled persons' organisations, advances disability rights policy with government, and implements USAID-funded livelihood and disaster-inclusion projects.

About

Action to the Community Development Institute (ACDC) was founded in 2011 in Hanoi by persons with disabilities as a non-profit science and technology organisation committed to a barrier-free society for Vietnamese people with disabilities.

What They Do

ACDC delivers training in leadership, life skills, and policy advocacy for DPO leaders, women with disabilities, and persons with severe disabilities. It implements projects in central provinces including Quang Tri, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien Hue and consults with government on disability legislation, livelihood development, and inclusive disaster risk management.
