Albuquerque-based nonprofit founded in 1978 providing employment, residential, day programme, and vocational services to people with disabilities and older adults across central New Mexico. Adelante operates over 40 sites and runs a statewide assistive technology reuse programme connecting donated equipment to people who need it.

Adelante Development Center has provided comprehensive disability services in New Mexico since 1978. Operating across more than 40 sites in central New Mexico, it is one of the state's largest disability service organizations, serving more than 55,000 people annually.

What They Do

Adelante offers employment services, residential support, day programmes, vocational training, and life skills development for people with disabilities. Its Back in Use programme accepts donated assistive technology — wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, communication devices — and connects those items to people across New Mexico who need them at no cost.
