Coordination des Associations des Personnes Handicapées de Côte d'Ivoire(CAPHCI)
CAPHCI is a national coordination body for associations of persons with disabilities in Côte d'Ivoire, comprising around sixty member organisations and 1,200 focal points across the country. It advocates for disability inclusion in governance, healthcare, education, and employment.
About
CAPHCI (formerly CAPH-CI) was established to create a coordinated platform for the many local disability associations operating across Côte d'Ivoire. With around sixty member organisations and regional delegations in every part of the country, it provides a broad grassroots network for advocacy and peer mobilisation.
What They Do
CAPHCI engages with local and national authorities to promote the rights of persons with disabilities, runs capacity-building programmes for member associations, and advocates for disability data collection and inclusive governance. It collaborates with international partners to secure funding for community-level disability initiatives.
Who They Serve
Persons with all types of disabilities throughout Côte d'Ivoire, with particular reach into provincial and rural communities through its network of focal points.
