Coordination des Associations des Personnes Handicapées de Côte d'Ivoire(CAPH-CI)
CAPH-CI is a national coordination body of approximately sixty disability associations operating across Côte d'Ivoire, with more than 1,200 focal points in every region of the country. It champions the principle that nothing about persons with disabilities should be decided without them.
About
CAPH-CI (Coordination des Associations des Personnes Handicapées de Côte d'Ivoire) has been active for over a decade and grew into one of the country's largest disability networks, claiming roughly sixty member organisations and more than 1,200 community focal points across all regions of Côte d'Ivoire.
What They Do
CAPH-CI advocates on four priority axes: health, education and training, accessibility and mobility, and employment. The organisation publishes disability statistics by category, engages government at regional and national levels, and facilitates capacity-building grants for its member associations from international funders.
Who They Serve
CAPH-CI serves persons with all disability types throughout Côte d'Ivoire, with a particular focus on ensuring that community-level voices shape national policy rather than being decided upon from the top down.
