About

The Consejo Nacional para la Atención de las Personas con Discapacidad (CONADI) is an autonomous entity of the Guatemalan state with its own legal personality, created to coordinate and drive general disability policies. Its motto — "Joint action for full participation" — captures its role as the country's leading disability coordination body.

What They Do

CONADI coordinates, advises, and implements Guatemala's national disability policy, promotes accessible laws and formats, maintains a directory of disability organisations, and facilitates multi-sector collaboration. It also monitors compliance with international disability conventions and supports organisations working in the disability sector.

Who They Serve

CONADI serves all Guatemalan persons with disabilities by creating the policy and institutional framework within which disability rights are protected. It also serves disability organisations, government agencies, and civil society actors working on inclusion across the country.
