The Consejo Nacional para la Inclusión de las Personas con Discapacidad (CONAIPD) is the Salvadoran government entity charged with developing and overseeing the national policy on disability inclusion. Located in Antiguo Cuscatlán, La Libertad, it operates under the legal framework governing disability rights in El Salvador and is the country's central coordination body for CRPD implementation.
What They Do
CONAIPD formulates, updates, and ensures application of the national disability inclusion policy; advises and coordinates government ministries and other public bodies on accessibility and inclusion measures; and engages civil society organisations of persons with disabilities. It works across the areas of education, employment, health, transport, housing, and culture to promote equal rights for disabled Salvadorans.
