Confédération des organismes de personnes handicapées du Québec(COPHAN)
COPHAN is the largest French-language multi-disability federation in North America, representing over 50 provincial and national organizations of people with functional limitations in Quebec since 1985. Based in Montréal, COPHAN advocates at both the Quebec provincial and Canadian federal levels to ensure the full social participation of Quebecers with all types of disabilities.

Founded in 1985 and based in Montréal, the Confédération des organismes de personnes handicapées du Québec (COPHAN) is a non-profit federation uniting organizations that together speak for hundreds of thousands of Quebecers with functional limitations. COPHAN is the largest French-language cross-disability advocacy body in North America, covering motor, organic, neurological, intellectual, visual, auditory, learning, speech, psychiatric, and other functional limitations.
What They Do
COPHAN conducts systemic advocacy on social participation, income support, accessibility, and disability policy at both the Quebec provincial and Canadian federal levels. The organization produces research, policy briefs, and training resources, and operates the Universal Accessibility Guide (guide.cophan.org) to help Quebecers with disabilities navigate public services and spaces.
