About

Danske Handicaporganisationer (DH) was founded in 1934 as De Samvirkende Invalideorganisationer and has grown into Denmark's national cross-disability umbrella, grouping 35 member organisations across the country. Its 97 local departments make it a presence in every Danish municipality.

What They Do

DH monitors disability legislation, engages with municipal and national government, campaigns for accessibility and equal participation, and represents Denmark at the European Disability Forum. Member organisations cover the full spectrum of disability, from brain injury and arthritis to intellectual and psychiatric conditions.
