Disability Law Colorado (formerly The Legal Center for People with Disabilities and Older People) is Colorado's federally designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) agency. Based in Denver, the organisation protects and promotes the rights of people with disabilities and older Coloradans through legal representation, investigation, advocacy, and education.
What They Do
The organisation provides free or low-cost legal services to people with disabilities whose civil rights have been violated, with expertise in housing discrimination, service animals, employment discrimination, abuse and neglect, seclusion and restraint, and special education. It also offers self-advocacy training, community-based education, and investigation of rights violations in residential facilities.
