About

Disability Rights Arizona (DRA) is the federally-mandated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system for Arizona, a public-interest nonprofit law organization authorized by Congress to represent the civil and human rights of Arizonans with a wide range of disabilities. It is a member of the National Disability Rights Network and maintains offices in Phoenix and Tucson.

What They Do

DRA provides free legal services, advocacy, investigations into abuse and neglect in care facilities, ADA technical assistance, and public training. Its attorneys and advocates work on issues spanning special education, guardianship and supported decision-making, healthcare access, employment discrimination, housing, and voting rights, using individual casework and systemic litigation to advance disability rights.

Who They Serve

Arizonans with developmental, physical, psychiatric, cognitive, or sensory disabilities who face violations of their legal or human rights, including children in schools, adults in residential facilities, and individuals navigating the mental health or criminal justice systems.
