Disability Rights New Mexico (DRNM) is a private, non-profit organisation and New Mexico's federally designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) programme. Based in Albuquerque, DRNM holds federal authority to pursue legal, administrative, and other remedies on behalf of persons with disabilities throughout New Mexico.
What They Do
DRNM provides information and referral about disability rights and services, individual case advocacy, legal representation, policy advocacy to improve service systems, and training to increase awareness of disability rights and consumer empowerment. The organisation engages in high-impact litigation and coalition work on issues including police accountability, children in state custody, and access to healthcare.
