About

Disability Rights Vermont is a private nonprofit corporation and Vermont's designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system, independent and nonpartisan. Authorised under federal law to protect and advocate for the rights of Vermonters with disabilities, DRVT covers the full range of disability types.

What They Do

DRVT provides free legal representation, advocacy, and information and referral services. Key focus areas include disability discrimination in housing and employment, institutional and community-based abuse and neglect, healthcare access, special education rights, and community living supports. DRVT also engages in systemic advocacy and policy work.
