Wisconsin's designated Protection and Advocacy agency providing free legal advocacy and rights protection for people with disabilities statewide, covering civil rights, education, housing, abuse, and community integration. As a member of the National Disability Rights Network, DRW brings both individual representation and systemic advocacy to bear on barriers facing Wisconsinites with disabilities.

Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW) is a private, independent nonprofit designated by federal law as the Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system for Wisconsin. It is a member of the National Disability Rights Network and is empowered to investigate abuse and neglect, access facilities, and take legal action on behalf of people with disabilities.
What They Do
DRW provides legal representation, information and referrals, technical assistance, and systems-change litigation covering areas including special education, employment, housing, civil rights violations, institutionalisation, and support for victims of crime with disabilities. The organisation maintains offices in Milwaukee and Madison.
Who They Serve
Adults and children with any disability across Wisconsin who face rights violations, discrimination, or barriers to services — regardless of income — including those in institutions, schools, the community, and the justice system.
