About

Disability Promotion and Advocacy Association (DPA), also known as Vanuatu Disability Promotion & Advocacy Association (VDPA), was established on 4 April 1999 as Vanuatu's national Disabled Persons Organisation, formally registered as a charitable organisation with the Financial Services Commission in September 2002.

What They Do

DPA advocates for disability rights, strengthens affiliate member organisations, collaborates with government on national disability policy, and supports inclusive education and disaster-resilience initiatives across Vanuatu's islands. In April 2025, DPA launched its Strategic Plan 2024–2029, marking a new chapter in national disability inclusion.

Who They Serve

Persons with all types of disability across Vanuatu's islands, served through DPA's own programmes and a network of disability-specific affiliate organisations throughout the country.
