About

The Disability Promotion & Advocacy Association (DPA Vanuatu) was established on 4 April 1999 as the national Disabled Persons Organisation (DPO) of Vanuatu. With a mandate to advocate for rights and promote the abilities of persons with disabilities, DPA Vanuatu is a member of the Pacific Disability Forum and the primary cross-disability voice at the national level.

What They Do

DPA Vanuatu works to remove physical and attitudinal barriers preventing full participation of people with disabilities in society. Activities include policy advocacy, community awareness campaigns, capacity building for local disability groups, disaster preparedness, and representation in national and regional disability forums. The association engages both government and civil society partners to advance inclusive development in Vanuatu.

Who They Serve

DPA Vanuatu serves people with all types of disabilities across Vanuatu's islands, working alongside government, civil society, and development partners to promote an inclusive, barrier-free, and rights-based society.
