The Fédération Malienne des Associations de Personnes Handicapées (FEMAPH) is the national umbrella federation for disability associations in Mali, established in 1982. Based in Bamako, FEMAPH brings together 15 national disability associations representing approximately 9,000 members, coordinated through 8 regional federations (FERAPH) and 44 local federations (FELAPH).
What They Do
FEMAPH advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities before the Malian government, coordinates national disability policies, and facilitates access to services including healthcare, education, and economic inclusion programmes. The federation participates in national dialogue processes and works with international partners on disability-inclusive development, vocational training, and microfinance for persons with disabilities. FEMAPH has worked with Voice Global on projects to improve social service access and civic engagement for persons with disabilities.

FEMAPH serves people with all types of disabilities across Mali, acting as the primary national voice for persons with physical, visual, hearing, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities. Through its regional and local federation network, FEMAPH reaches persons with disabilities across all administrative regions of the country.
