Federación Nacional de Madres, Padres y Familias de Personas con Discapacidad de Honduras(FENAPAPEDISH)

FENAPAPEDISH is the National Federation of Mothers, Fathers, and Families of Persons with Disabilities in Honduras, representing and empowering families across the disability sector since its founding and reforming in 2018. It advocates for human rights, promotes rehabilitation, health, recreation, and education, and coordinates support across all 18 Honduran departments.

About

Founded as Honduras's first disability-sector federation and reformed on 17 August 2018 under its current name, FENAPAPEDISH is a non-profit civil society organisation representing families of persons with disabilities across Honduras. It operates under the highest ethical standards and applies a human rights framework to all its activities.

What They Do

FENAPAPEDISH represents, empowers, and coordinates disability organisations; enforces a human rights approach in rehabilitation, health, inclusion, recreation, culture, and sport; and advocates with government institutions on behalf of persons with disabilities and their families. It provides training, raises public awareness, and supports initiatives advancing rights at local and national level.

The federation serves persons with disabilities and their families throughout Honduras, with presence in 14 of the country's 18 departments. Its 17 affiliated organisations collectively reach adults, children, and caregivers across all disability types.
