Fédération Haïtienne des Associations et Institutions des Personnes Handicapées d'Haïti(FHAIPH)

FHAIPH is the national federation of disability organisations in Haiti, active across all 10 departments of the country and recognised as an NGO by the Haitian government in 2007. It promotes the rights of persons with disabilities through advocacy, legal assistance, sport, and capacity building of its member associations.

About

FHAIPH was founded to unite associations of persons with disabilities across Haiti, achieving formal NGO recognition from the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation on 24 May 2007. The federation coordinates disability-led action across all 10 of Haiti's departments.

What They Do

FHAIPH implements programmes in health, education, sport and leisure, legal assistance, communication, and environmental access for persons with disabilities. It works with international partners including ASB (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund) and the Disability Rights Fund to strengthen member associations and engage government on disability policy.

FHAIPH serves Haitians with all types of disabilities through its network of member organisations, focusing on strengthening the political, social, and economic participation of persons with disabilities at the community level across all regions.
