Federazione Italiana per i diritti delle persone con disabilità e famiglie(FISH)
FISH ETS is Italy's national disability rights federation, founded in 1994 and uniting 32 national member associations and 15 regional federations to advocate for the civil rights and social inclusion of disabled people and their families. As coordinator of the Italian Forum on Disability, it represents Italy within the European Disability Forum.
About
FISH ETS (Federazione Italiana per i diritti delle persone con disabilità e famiglie) was founded on 9 July 1994 and is based in Rome. It brings together 32 national member associations and 15 regional federations covering the full range of disability types, making it Italy's most representative cross-disability federation.
What They Do
FISH engages with the Italian parliament and government on disability legislation, inclusive public policy, and implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). As coordinator of the Italian Forum on Disability (FID), it is Italy's official representative within the European Disability Forum. FISH also monitors media representation of disability and runs campaigns against discrimination and stigma.

FISH serves people with physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial disabilities across Italy and their families, advocating for equal citizenship, barrier-free environments, and inclusive education and employment for all disabled people.
