Scotland's national Disabled People's Organisation (DPO), governed and led entirely by disabled people. Inclusion Scotland campaigns on disability rights, influences Scottish Government and Parliament policy, and amplifies the collective voice of disabled people across all areas of Scottish public life.
About
Inclusion Scotland is Scotland's national Disabled People's Organisation, a registered charity (SC031619) based in Edinburgh and governed entirely by disabled people. As a DPO, its board and staff bring lived experience of disability to all its work, spanning physical, sensory, intellectual, and hidden disabilities across Scotland.
What They Do
Inclusion Scotland engages with the Scottish Parliament and Government on legislation affecting disabled people, including the Social Security (Scotland) Act and Scottish National Care Service proposals. It conducts and publishes research — including on fuel poverty among disabled households — maintains a national DPO directory, and runs the #DisabledPeopleDemandJustice campaign. It provides a platform for cross-disability collective advocacy in Scotland.
