Kentucky Protection & Advocacy (KY P&A) is the designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, part of the national network of federally funded P&A agencies serving every state and territory. Headquartered in Frankfort, KY P&A operates independently to protect and promote the rights of all Kentuckians with disabilities.
What They Do
KY P&A provides information and referral, technical assistance, education and training, and direct legal advocacy services. The organisation pursues systemic change through policy engagement and targeted legal action, working to expand disability rights and accountability across Kentucky.
Who They Serve
KY P&A serves Kentuckians with all types of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, psychiatric, and sensory disabilities. All services are free and available to residents across all 120 Kentucky counties.
