Lao Disabled People's Association(LDPA)
The Lao Disabled People's Association is the sole comprehensive DPO officially recognised by the Lao PDR government, with over 11,000 members and 11 provincial branches. Established in 2001, LDPA advocates for disability rights, employment, and CRPD implementation throughout Laos.

The Lao Disabled People's Association (LDPA) was established in 2001 and is one of the few formally registered civil society organisations in Lao PDR. With over 11,000 members across 11 provincial branches and Vientiane Capital, it is the nationally recognised representative body for all persons with disability in Laos.
What They Do
LDPA provides rights training, employment support, policy advocacy, and social-economic inclusion programmes throughout Laos. It represents persons with disabilities in national policy dialogues, advocates for CRPD implementation, and collaborates with international partners including ILO and UNDP.
Who They Serve
LDPA serves all persons with disability in Laos regardless of membership status, operating at national and provincial levels to advance rights, employment opportunities, and inclusive development across all disability types.
