Lao Disabled People's Association(LDPA)
The Lao Disabled People's Association (LDPA), constituted in Vientiane in 2001, is the sole national DPO representing all persons with disability in Laos PDR, with over 11,000 members. As the country's peak advocacy body, LDPA advances disability rights across legislation, employment, and community inclusion.

The Lao Disabled People's Association (LDPA) was constituted on 20 July 2001 in Vientiane Capital and is the sole Disabled People's Organisation that encompasses all persons with disability across Laos PDR. With provincial branches and over 11,000 members, LDPA is recognised as the nation's leading disability advocacy and membership body.
What They Do
LDPA works across five strategic areas: rights training and awareness at provincial and national levels; employment services connecting persons with disabilities to appropriate employers; disability policy development and law reform; social and economic inclusion programmes including income generation; and national networking, advocacy events, and media engagement. The association represents Laos at regional and international disability forums.
Who They Serve
Persons with all types of disabilities throughout Laos PDR, irrespective of membership status, as well as families and communities through provincial branches, and government bodies engaged in disability policy and service delivery.
