About

Maine CITE (Community Inclusion through Technology and Equipment) is Maine's statewide assistive technology programme, funded by federal Administration for Community Living grants. For over 30 years, Maine CITE has worked to make assistive technology accessible to all residents regardless of age, disability, or income.

What They Do

Services include hands-on AT device demonstrations, short-term equipment loans, refurbished equipment reuse, personalised AT consultations, training for individuals and professionals, and information and referral to AT funding sources. Maine CITE also operates device lending programmes through regional lending libraries across the state.

Who They Serve

Maine residents of all ages who have or may benefit from assistive technology — including children with disabilities, working adults, and seniors — as well as teachers, therapists, and caregivers. No disability documentation or income screening required for any service.
