About
NOOIS (Nacionalna organizacija osoba sa invaliditetom Srbije) was established in 2007 as Serbia's principal cross-disability umbrella body. It brings together 14 national disability associations and over 450 local organisations, collectively representing more than 800,000 people with disabilities across the country.
What They Do
NOOIS advocates for disability rights legislation in the Serbian National Assembly, monitors government implementation of the UN CRPD, and coordinates alternative reporting to UN treaty bodies. It produces publications on disability rights, runs media campaigns to combat stigma, and liaises with European disability networks.
Who They Serve
NOOIS serves people with all types of disability in Serbia — physical, sensory, intellectual, psychiatric, and chronic illness — along with their families and carers, through a nationwide network of national and local member organisations.
