About

Národná rada občanov so zdravotným postihnutím v Slovenskej republike (NROZP), founded in Bratislava, is Slovakia's principal cross-disability umbrella body. In June 2023 the organisation rebranded as Slovenské fórum osôb so zdravotným postihnutím (SFOZP — Slovak Disability Forum) while continuing its advocacy mandate. SFOZP represents Slovakia within the European Disability Forum (EDF).

What They Do

SFOZP advocates before the Slovak parliament and government ministries on behalf of people with disabilities, monitors CRPD implementation, and participates in EU-level EDF activities. The federation represents a broad coalition spanning deaf-blind, chronic, psychiatric, hearing, physical, visual, and intellectual disability types.

Who They Serve

SFOZP serves people with disabilities across Slovakia through its approximately 20 member organisations, advocating for an estimated 400,000 Slovaks with recognised disabilities.
