Czech National Disability Council(NRZP ČR)

The Czech National Disability Council (NRZP ČR) is the leading umbrella advocacy organisation for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic, representing over 250,000 members through 14 regional councils nationwide. Founded in 2000, it advocates for equal opportunities, combats discrimination, and monitors Czech implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Národní rada osob se zdravotním postižením České republiky (NRZP ČR) was established in 2000 as the principal representative body for disabled people in the Czech Republic. It unites disability-specific organisations across 14 regional councils, collectively reaching over 250,000 people with physical, sensory, intellectual, psychiatric, and chronic illness disabilities.

What They Do

NRZP ČR conducts policy advocacy at national and EU level, organises awareness seminars and national conferences, and engages with government bodies on disability legislation and social policy. It monitors Czech compliance with the UN CRPD, submits alternative reports to UN treaty bodies, and participates in the European Disability Forum.
