Polish Forum of Persons with Disabilities(PFON)
Polskie Forum Osób z Niepełnosprawnościami (PFON) is Poland's national umbrella organisation bringing together associations and unions of people with disabilities since 2003. A member of the European Disability Forum since 2004, it advocates for equal rights, full social participation, and implementation of the UN CRPD across Poland.
About
PFON was founded in May 2003 as a non-profit organisation with public benefit status to unite the voices of diverse disability organisations across Poland. It has been a full member of the European Disability Forum since 2004 and plays a leading role in shaping national disability policy.
What They Do
PFON coordinates the Annual Congress of Persons with Disabilities, prepares legislative proposals aligned with the UN CRPD, monitors government policy, and advocates for accessible public spaces, inclusive employment, and equitable social protection. It represents the collective interests of disabled Poles in dialogue with parliament and government ministries.
Who They Serve
PFON serves people with all types of disability across Poland, as well as their families, carers, and disability-focused civil society organisations.
